Chitaki getting a mud bath from Volunteers

Chitaki is the original Black Rhino Bull, which Chipangali received in the mid 1980's.

He was one of the many Black Rhino that were relocated from the Zambesi Valley to more protected sites within the interiors of Zimbabwe.


Chitaki was received from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife management on the 2 August 1986.

He was approximately four months of age when he arrived after his mother had rejected him after been relocated to the interiors of Zimbabwe. He was fed on a suppliment of skimmed milk powder together with vitamins added.

 He is currently the father to Balka and Bayete
