 Karla is one of our handreared leopards, she has a lovely nature and is always a please to take out for exercise in the neighbouring bush veld
Karla was born at Chipangali. Mom is Roxy and Dad is Lundi. She was taken away from Roxy when she was 3 to 4 weeks old, to be hand raised by our volunteers, so that she would be more easy to handle when she got older. She is in the Nursery area and is much smaller that her brother. She is now about 8 months old and during Christmas got very sick, we think from eating meat that was not 100%. Also because of the very wet weather we experienced here in Zimbabwe in the month of December. She is now much better but she is under the watchful eye of Marion and Nicky. They are checking that she is getting the best meat to eat as well as getting enough exercise and loves and cuddles. Unfortunately she has decided that the 3 antelope in the Nursery area as well, need a bit of investigation preferably with her teeth and claws and when she is out they have to watch that she doesn’t climb the fence and join them.
