The Steppe Eagle is a migrant from Russia that frequents Zimbabwe in the Summers months.
For such a large bird of prey it primarily eats rodents and insects

Steppe came to Chipangali over twenty year ago and had unfortunately got one wing, this was removed when he flew into an aircrat and had his wing baddly damaged. How ever he has managed to survive and will be a pemanent resident here at Chipangali
