Victoria Falls Croc Farm staff found Ouzo's mother caught in snare, so badly injured she had to be shot. Ouzo was hanging onto her. She was only seven days old when she arrived at the orphanage, tiny and nervous, clutching onto her soft blanket and bright pink doll’s bottle.
Ouzo was hand reared at the Chipangali, and she craved human attention because she missed her mother. Thankfully when Ouzo was two months old there was a new arrival at the orphanage - a seven week old baby male baboon who we named Cane. They bonded immediately and their love has grown over the years. Ouzo is now the dominant member of a young group of three.
